Drak Treasure Pile
Start by heading north of the Veilwater Basin tower to the Drak’Dal Camp. Enemies here are around levels 41 to 43, so just be ready to fight. Follow the path until you get to the main area, and look for a large treasure pile. Break the pile with a pickaxe to reveal a hidden golden chest. This chest frequently drops purple and gold-tier weapons.
Mining Rift Golden Chest
Travel north to the Mining Rift area and locate the massive scavenger structure at the top of the zone. Climb to the roof and prepare for a tricky jumping section that requires the double jump ability. Once inside the upper room, you will find a golden chest that can reward legendary-tier equipment.
Gateway Outpost Endflame (Level 50)
Near Cromville Hot Springs is a scavenger settlement called Gateway Outpost “Endflame.” Glide into the platform zone and turn around before passing through the main gate. Break through the wooden boards of the ruined house and climb upward using short jump paths. Drop through the roof opening and continue falling until you reach the final chamber. Inside is a guaranteed level 50 golden chest with high-tier loot.
Fishing Island Chest
This hidden chest is located beneath Fishing Island. Approach the island from the side opposite the docks near the temple structure. You will need a diving mask or food that gives you oxygen to safely reach it.
Dive straight down and follow the underwater path until you reach a golden chest tucked into the rock wall. Loot quality varies, but it is a reliable early underwater farm without enemies.
Cromville Castle
Cromville Castle is one of the most profitable farming zones in the update, with three separate level 50 golden chests hidden inside. Head to the Cromville Castle area for these chests. But be warned, these are lengthy and often confusing. I recommend watching the accompanying videos.
Chest 1
The first chest is found at the bottom of a large, cavernous pit. Starting from outside, climb up the structure, fighting enemies and using various grappling and jump techniques until you find the area that welcomes you into the pit. I recommend watching the video below for a full, detailed breakdown if you are having trouble getting to this area, as it is quite tricky.
Drop down and follow the left wall until you reach the chest. Several enemies guard the path, but the reward is worth the fight. To get out of the pit, follow the right wall and grapple back out.
Chest 2
Once you are back to the top of the area of the pit, turn left and start heading up. You will get inside a building where you will drop down into an Enshrouded area. There will be a boss encounter once you drop down.
Continue left until you see a torch on the wall, as this is where you will enter. Make your way up through the mansion. You will see an open area you can glide to.
Once you glide into the next open area, turn back from the castle in front of you and climb to the rooftop where a witch guards a hidden chest.
Chest 3
The third chest is inside the castle. From the main entrance, turn left twice and climb the metal ladder. Lockpick the first door and cross the courtyard, going up the stairs on the left, into the building ahead. Lockpick again and clear the enemies on the right in the building. Turn and facing where you entered, there will be a grappling hook at the top of the room. Grapple it to uncover the final chest in a bedroom.
Underwater Shipwreck
From the southern edge of the Veilwater Basin tower dive into the water near Lake Heartblood. Use scuba gear or oxygen buffs to safely explore the sunken shipwreck below.
Maneuver through the wreck using an underwater grappling hook to reach the concealed golden chest inside. This chest is known to drop powerful legendary weapons, including rare wands.
Stillwater Bay Puzzle Chest
Stillwater Bay is located in the far northwest corner of the map. At the top of the tower gate structure is a puzzle that leads to a locked room containing a golden chest.
Players can either complete the puzzle normally or break through the door using a golden pickaxe (probably not a forever option). Once you complete the puzzle, inside, you will find a golden chest. It also has a gold pile where you can collect even more loot.
Old Hag’s Hut
One of the earliest golden chests in the game can be found at Dragondream Lake. Locate the small hut just outside the starting village area.
Enter through the front door. You will initially be met by some spiderwebs; push through them. Now, crouch or break through the debris blocking the tunnel. Continue on this path until you defeat the undead enemies inside and loot the golden tomb in the back room.
Goldrock Saddle Chest
Travel to Goldrock Saddle and locate the archway near the water channel. Enter the sewer system and clear the large enemy guarding the lower corridor.
Push deeper into the shroud zone, following the path, and destroy the massive shroud spawner. You will also need to defeat the tentacle-spawning elite enemy in the central chamber. Behind it is a golden chest that often contains flippers along with high-end combat loot.
Elixir Well (Level 50)
The Elixir Well is west of Starfish Shores and somewhat near Queen Justina’s camp. This is one of the more dangerous farming routes due to the sickle enemy and shroud minions inside.
Navigate to the boss chamber by diving down into the cavern. Once you get to an area you can jump off, continue downwards and to your right. Then, you should turn left and make your way up a mountain of soil. Follow this, and you will know you are in the right spot when you see a white chest.
The boss’s chamber is straight ahead of you. Defeat the sickle enemy, and destroy the red shroud flower to clear the area. Use the jump pads and continue along the straight path to reach the golden chest hidden near the far platform. This chest can drop top-tier weapons and rare equipment.
