The Safehouse on the Hills update for GTA V Online adds the KnoWay Out Heist missions featuring Avi Schwartzman, as well as a special mission you can unlock featuring Michael.
Yes, we do mean Michael de Santa! It’s been well over a decade since we saw his story in the main campaign of GTA V, so this new mission lets you check up on how things have been for him.

How To Unlock The Michael & Avi (KnoWay) Missions | GTA V Online – Safehouse on the Hills
Let’s start from the beginning, which are the KnoWay missions. You should automatically unlock the first of this mission chain as soon as you load into the game after the Safehouse on the Hills update.
More specifically, you should get a message telling you to pick up a payphone at Calais Ave.
To do this, go to the yellow A”” icon on Rockford Hills, as shown on the map above.
As the message instructed, just pick up the ringing payphone at that spot to start the first of the KnoWay Out series of missions. This is a heist consisting of 5 missions. That’s all you need to get started! We won’t spoil the rest for you.
Now, for the Michael mission, titled “Home Sweet Home.” To start this mission, you’ll need to complete all 5 of the KnoWay Out missions and own a mansion.
If you’re indecisive on which mansion to buy, we have a guide to help you pick. Though the long and short of it is that they’re all mostly the same, from a gameplay perspective.
If you’ve completed all of the KnoWay Out missions and saw the introduction cutscene to your mansion, you’ll need to play in free roam. After a set amount of time, you’ll get a call from Avi.
Based on players’ reports, the time for the call can vary from 5 minutes to over 1 hour. So, you’ll just need to wait it out while away from your mansion.
After the call, you’ll receive an invitation to the “Home Sweet Home” mission from Avi. Just accept it and you’re in! That’s how to do the Michael mission.
