Redwood Logs are one of the many types of wood you can use for crafting in Hytale, but they can be a pain to find early in the game.
For the most part, the trees that drop Redwood Logs are found in snowy biomes. These are tougher areas, though, so you generally don’t want to go there until later into the game. Thankfully, you can actually find them early if you know where to look!
In this quick guide, we’ll tell you exactly where to go to get Redwood Logs as soon as possible.
Where to Find Redwood Logs Early

By far the best way to get Redwood Logs early is to just walk along the shore by the ocean. It should look something like the spot shown on the map above, for reference, though each world is unique in this game.
Anyway, you can often spot shipwrecks along the shore. The shipwrecks, conveniently, are often made out of Redwood! So, you can just cut them down with your trusty axe as you would any tree.
Now, there aren’t too many shipwrecks, admittedly. Nonetheless, they are pretty common spawns along the shore. So, your chances of finding them are pretty good.
To make the most out of each one you find, also make sure to dig a bit into the ground. Oftentimes, parts of the shipwreck are in the ground, below the sand. Digging them out is a good way to get some extra Redwood Logs.
As we mentioned before, you can also find Redwood Logs by chopping down trees and buildings in snowy biomes later in the game. This is much like how you can find Azure Logs at the azure forest biomes, for example.
However, those snowy biomes are tough, so you’ll need to be well prepared for them… which is why the shipwrecks are so convenient!
So, there you have it. In short, you can get Redwood Logs early in Hytale by simply taking a nice walk along the shore and chopping down all the shipwrecks you find.
