Hytale All Ore Locations – Games Fuze

Hytale might only be in early access but there is a ton to explore in the world. Additionally, survival is a key aspect for which you will need to craft all sorts of tools and armor. To do so, you will need to obtain specific ore types. The problem is that some ores are more abundant in specific locations compared to others.

Without these ore, you would not be able to progress in the game. In this guide, we’ll go over recommended locations where you can find all ores. Without further delay, let’s get into it!

All Ore Locations

Hytale currently features only seven types of ores in the early access period. As more updates roll in, we can expect more ores to be added, such as Mythril Ore which is mentioned in the game but can’t be acquired.

Keep in mind that ore does not respawn so you won’t be able to revisit these locations again once you’ve farmed them.

Copper Ore Location

Copper ore is the most abundant ore in the game and can be found practically everywhere – especially at the start. You just need to dig a bit and you’ll already find it towards the surface level.

The Grasslands Biome is where you can find it the most!

Iron Ore Location

There are generally three layers of depth in Hytale when you dig down: near the surface, mid level, and lava area. After that, you have the bedrock that signals the end.

Iron ore can generally be found in the middle layer when you start digging.

The most abundant biome for Iron Ore is the Desert biome.

In the desert biome specifically, there is a specific area where you can find it abundantly – including on the surface as well. This is the Mineshafts that you can find on the Desert if you use the map.

However, the issue with Mineshafts is that they have a lot of enemies – especially if you go deeper into them. So, you need decent gear (copper armor and iron crossbow is recommended!) before you can take them on if you want to survive.

But there is a lot of iron you can find on the ground and inside the shaft. You can also find iron in the caves near Mineshafts which is a great option if you’d like to avoid enemies.

Thorium Ore Locations

This ore is mainly found in the Desert but there are some extra ways of obtaining it too! You can also check out our how to get thorium and adamantite ore guide!

Thorium Ore Location #1

This ore is most abundantly found in the Desert biome or Howling Sands area. Specifically, you can find Thorium near mountains or hills in the Desert biome. You can find a decent amount when you climb up.

However, the most amount of Thorium can be found by digging underground in these hilly areas. We recommend that you first look for abundant thorium on the hills. Once you see it, dig in the area around it below and you should find tons of it!

You can also find Thorium in decent amounts in the caves around the hills as well.

Thorium Ore Location #2

Another location that has plenty of Thorium ore is the Devastated Lands biome, the dark lava island that you can find on your map towards the right side.

In this area, you can find a specific enemy type called Skeletons that drops Thorium Ore when you kill them. They are a great way to farm Thorium as well once you’ve made decent progress in the game.

Skeleton enemies Hytale

Cobalt Ore Location

Cobalt Ore is found most abundantly in the Tundra or Snow biome. Specifically, you can find this ore in large amounts in the hilly areas and caves of this biome.

Just be careful as there are plenty of enemies that you can run into like Yetis while exploring.

Adamantite Ore Location

Adamantite Ore is most abundantly found in the Devastated Lands or Lava biome. Keep in mind that you need to have an Iron Pickaxe at least to be able to mine this ore.

In this biome, you can find a decent amount on the surface if you look around the purple or maroon sections of the map. Additionally, you can look in the caves as well but these can be dangerous to navigate.

Silver Ore Location

Generally, silver ore is much harder to come by than the other ores. You can find it here and there in most biomes but it’s fairly rare.

The most common areas to find Silver Ore are the caves inside the Desert biome, near the mountains. To get the most amount of ore, you will need to dig down deep to the lava areas.

Gold Ore Location

Gold ore is quite rare to find and even if you do find it, you’ll typically only find a few nodes here and there. But there are some locations worth checking out.

Gold Ore Location #1

The first location to look for gold ore is the mountain areas in the Desert biome. While looking for Thorium Ore here you can also find some gold nodes here and there.

They won’t be as plentiful but you can find a decent amount.

Gold Ore Location #2

The next location to check out are the mountains or cliffsides in the Snow biome. Usually, this is where you’d go Cobalt hunting but you can run into a good amount of gold nodes here as well.

However, you’ll typically find them separated.

Conclusion

That’s everything you need to know about finding all the ores in Hytale. There might be other locations where you can find the ores as well. With the game being relatively new, players are still uncovering new things about the game. We can also expect changes as the game progresses with more ores and biomes being added that could change the locations as well. Also, try not to waste ore because you will not be able to farm more since it does not respawn in these locations.
