STALKER 2’s Upcoming “Stories Untold” Update Gets a Free Release Promising Hours of New Content to Enjoy

Fans of STALKER 2 are in for a treat as a new story and content update is on the way, and the best part is, they can get it for free!

Titled “Stories Untold,” the upcoming update will have you investigate a mysterious radio signal, which will take you across 7 new locations and 8 new quests that will take several hours to complete.

Not only that, but it also features 6 new characters, a new hub area in the Burnt Forest, and a new unique weapon in the form of a suppressed rifle.

GSC Game World, the developer behind the game, stresses that the story will take “hours to complete.”

As the protagonist, you’ll be tasked with investigating an area near the Malachite on the western side of the map. You’ll be accompanied by Banzai, a radio enthusiast, and that’s where things start to go wrong.

In the new story update, you’ll have to pay attention to the Red Forest Region. From there, you’ll then rely on your intuition and knowledge to uncover the mystery behind the signal.

Aside from the story that will take several hours to complete, you’ll also get a new suppressed rifle called the GP37V2 rifle.

The developers emphasized that the gun’s uber-tactical nature means it’s the perfect gun for the most tactical of tacticians. Of course, if you’re not that much of a tactician yourself, you can just bring your trusted old gun with you.

If you have already explored the entirety of the Zone, you’ll now notice familiar locations re-inhabited by stalkers.

As you progress through the new story, you’ll come across different locations, including the Army Warehouses, Car Dump, and Volkhov SAM, to name a few.

Who knows? You might even get to completely uncharted territory. The rest is up to you!

Lastly, there’s the new hub in the Burnt Forest area. However, since your choices will shape the zone, whether or not you get access to the new spot will depend on you.

If you manage to access the new area, then expect everyone to be there, be it a trader, guide, medic, or technician.

The update also comes with a bunch of quality-of-life improvements that will make adventuring throughout the Zone both easier and harder.

Unfortunately, Stalker 2 left Xbox Game Pass not long ago after it’s been in the service for a year. So if you only played the game on Game Pass before, you’ll have to buy the game to enjoy the free update.
