A lot of recipes in Hytale require you to get different types of wood. There are many wood types in the game and you’ll always discover new ones as you come across the different zones. One such wood type is Goldenwood Trunks.
When I saw a recipe requiring Goldenwood Trunks, I was also confused and for the life of me could not find them until I realized what they were. So, in this guide, I’ll go over what you need to look for and where exactly you can find it. Let’s get into it!
Goldenwood Trunk Location
In Hytale, to obtain Goldenwood Trunks, the best way to get them is through Sallow Logs.
Technically, Palm Logs also count as Goldenwood Trunks but you can only obtain them through chests currently. So, they are not a reliable method of getting them since they do not drop any other way.
You can get Sallow Logs by cutting down trees with distinct yellow leaves. These trees can only be found in the Devastated Lands biome (Lava area) in Hytale.
If you open your map, you can generally make them out pretty easily by their characteristic leaves. From what I’ve seen, you can find them only in the light brownish areas of the Devastated Lands on the map.
They are not very plentiful and you will only find a few here and there. But compared to other wood types, they at least stand out much easier so you can find and harvest them pretty easily!
